Happy Mother’s Day!
On the way out of Church today, Fr. Faustinus greeted me with a “Happy Mother’s Day” and a handshake. I’m pretty sure Father doesn’t remember if I do or do not have children, but I was glad he erred on the side of caution and extended that pleasantry to me. I’m so excited to be a mother!
I had another OB appointment on Friday. This appointment was basically a review of my labs - all normal - and establishing the follow up visit. The nurse practitioner also offered to do an in-office ultrasound. I was so nervous, but agreed, because I figured it would help alleviate some anxiety. Either there is still a baby or there’s not.
There is a baby! and baby measured at 6 weeks 3 days. The little bean’s heart rate was 122. I could see his or her chest pulsating with each beat! Susan said the heart rate will speed up in the next few weeks. I was so relieved and so moved to see that little munchkin in there! I snapped a few pictures of the ultrasound pics with my iphone to send to David since he wasn’t in town. Just makes keeping this little miracle a secret so much harder! Happy Mother’s Day to all my Momma ladies!
